Vintage Antique Boy Doll Open Mouth Teeth Bisque Head Top Hat Hertel Schwab

Description

This little chimney sweep doll is so charming!
He is not stamped HERTEL SCHWAB but the #136 and all characteristics match.
He has 136 4/0 embossed on the back of his bisque head. The only other maker that I find that has 136 on back of head is HERTEL SCHWAB. However, I am not positive of that!
His soft body and clothing are handmade which makes him even more charming to me!
He has wire at the core of his arms and legs so that he can stand.
His clothes are quite detailed. The cord over his shoulder has metallic thread as well as the “buckle” on the belt. There is a black crochet ball at the end of cord.
He has a hood underneath the top hat which covers his left ear.
He has a darling black top hat which has a velvet feel to it. It is charmingly misshapen with a dent in the top.
His shoes are slippers.
He has a circular furry thing that is on back over right shoulder. I don’t know what it is supposed to be. Maybe a muffler?
I think that he has glass eyes, but am not positive.
He has an open mouth with 4 upper teeth. His bottom lip is slightly chipped.
He is carrying a stick that I think is supposed to be a broom. It has tiny straws on the end that has black tape wrapped around it to fasten it to the stick.
The base that he is standing on is heavy cardboard. It has a name and address written on masking tape that is taped to the bottom.
In spite of all of his imperfections he is adorable and very unique!
