Here is a darling pair of antique, (circa 1930) all bisque, 4 inch tall, dollhouse size,
Bride and Bridesmaid
(or Maid of Honor) dolls. Both pudgy dolls are still in their
original flower-printed box
and have molded and painted socks and single-strap shoes,
molded hair with loop
for ribbon or flowers and jointed arms with stiff legs. They have very nicely painted features and wear all their original clothing including undies. The bride wears a finely pleated organza gown with long sleeves over a long taffeta petticoat and her maid of honor wears a lovely pink satin gown with short sleeves and organdy petticoat.  Both carry original bouquets of fabric flowers with streamer ribbons. They are in reminiscent of the earliest Nancy Ann Storybook dolls and are in excellent (unused) condition and will make charming additions to a collection or for a wedding or shower decoration. The Maid of Honor has a slight manufacturing flaw on one shoe and both have some paint scuffs on the back of their hair, which is normal considering how long they have been in their box.
