    We are quite pleased to offer this beautifully hand crafted
    Meiji period
    Japanese sterling (pure) silver (partial)
    tea service.
    Crafted in the archaic manner
    inspired by
    17th & 18th century
    designs.
    Signed in
    Japanese characters.
    Hallmarked Japanese characters "pure silver"
    which is at least 950 pure, higher than sterling
    which is 925.
    This Japanese sterling (950 pure) hand crafted cream jug 6 inches & matching
    covered sugar bowl 5 inches and set weighs about 18 standard ounces
    Never monogrammed.
    In very fine condition.
    Appears little, if ever used.
    Rich sterling (950 pure) patina.
    Retains original detail.
    Cover tight to base.
    Stands firm on table.
